Low Emission Zone in Düsseldorf
On February 15, 2009 a
Low Emission Zone was set up in the North Rhine-Westphalia state capital
Düsseldorf. Only vehicles with a low-emission sticker may drive into this inner
city “Umweltzone”.
You will find details on the Low Emission Zone, the requirement to display a sticker and, most particularly, on the exceptions to the regulation, together with a map of the streets covered, on the North Rhine-Westphalia state capital Düsseldorf website at http://www.duesseldorf.de/kfz/feinstaub.
Anyone driving into an area designated as an Umweltzone without the appropriate sticker is liable to a fine of 40 euros and a demerit point in the Flensburg register of traffic offenders.
DüsseldorfCongress and the routes signposted to the individual venues are not affected by the Umweltzone.
