New Hotel Projects in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf is permanently expanding its accommodation infrastructure – becoming even better prepared for conventions and company events. Over the coming two years some 3,000 new hotel rooms will be built in the North Rhine-Westphalia capital.

June saw the 25hours Hotel Düsseldorf Das Tour open at the new neighbourhood Le Quartier Central. Here a Swedish creative team realised a design concept caught somewhere between German engineering and French artist ambience.

Lean-Luxury Philosophy on the Kö: Ruby Coco Hotel

In mid-2018 the design boutique Hotel Ruby Coco opened right on the Königsallee. 92 high-end rooms reflect the Lean Luxury philosophy of this hotel: luxury in a small space, exquisite design, luxurious beds and a generous glass rainwater shower. 

Top city-centre location: carathotel Düsseldorf City  

Located in the former Kaufhof department store on Berliner Allee is the carathotel Düsseldorf City with 191 rooms. It offers business travelers from all over the world a temporary living room with workspace at the heart of the Rhineland metropolis.

State-of-the-Art Media, Building and Event Technology: CCD to refurbish Rooms 2, 3 and 4

While right next door to CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf the steel structure for the new Hall 1 is taking shape, the core refurbishment of the congress center is progressing: work on Rooms 2, 3 and 4 has begun.

Japan and Anime Expo: Review of 10th DoKomi

A big birthday cake was presented to the DoKomi on the Whit weekend. This year saw the Japan and Anime Convention celebrate its 10th edition in Düsseldorf. 45,000 fans of this Japanese pop culture attended – with the event occupying several exhibition halls and the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf. DoKomi looks back on a successful development: it has grown from the initial 1,800 participants to 45,000 visitors today.
